Frequently Asked Questions

Our vision for church, planting and multiplication will be funded in the same manner that we approached Waypoint Wentzville last year. This fund is dedicated to develop and pursue the next campus plant. We are prayerfully considering multiple opportunities, and we continue to train leaders for the purpose of multiplication. this fund will secure the resources for the launch of our next campus.

The ballots are tallied by the deacons. We ask that members provide signatures in order to verify membership in the event of a close vote.

For the past five years, we have invested into Waypoint Iola with a desire to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and build God’s kingdom through His church.  We have been able to walk alongside our church family in Iola to maintain a viable congregation through difficult seasons. However, the distance between St. Charles and Iola has created challenges and limited our effectiveness to serve that local congregation in many ways.  Providentially, God has led Waypoint to partner with a like-minded church that also desires to see the gospel flourish in rural areas, CrossPoint. Based out of Hutchinson, Kansas, CrossPoint has been a national leader in rural ministry. They currently have 13 campuses throughout Kansas, the majority thriving in rural settings.  We believe that the best opportunity for the congregation in Iola to continue to flourish is to give the campus to CrossPoint. The proximity of other Crosspoint campuses to Iola creates a clear pathway for identifying and developing local leadership to provide pastoral leadership and care for the campus.  The leadership teams at Waypoint Church and CrossPoint Church both desire to see the congregation in Iola continue to grow and are excited about continuing that kingdom work.

Our intent was to gift the campus to CrossPoint Church, but we have been advised by our attorney that the most secure legal transaction would be through a sales contract. To ensure that CrossPoint Church never has a legal challenge to their ownership of the campus, we are proposing to sell the campus for $10 based upon such legal counsel. We are taking this step solely for the benefit of CrossPoint Church.
