Serve

Interested in serving at Waypoint? We have a place for you.

Jesus’ life was marked by faithful, humble, and generous service. We follow His example by serving others faithfully both inside the church and out in the community. This is a tangible expression of God’s grace and love for the world. This is why we encourage everyone at Waypoint to find a way to serve.

Not sure what you’d be good at? Take a spiritual gift test to find out your serving strengths and weaknesses.

Below are some the serving opportunities available right now in our church. If you’re interested in any these serving opportunities, please send a message to Mag Somheil letting us know!

Service Opportunities

There are many ways to serve in WayKids! We would love to meet with you to see how your gifts and talents could help serve our kids.

I'm Interested

As our middle school and high school students meet throughout the school year, we are always looking for Mentors to connect them with. Our Waypoint Student ministry needs middle school Life Group Mentors on Sunday mornings at the Realm and high school Life Group Mentors on Sunday nights at the Main Campus Café. We also need a few more Midweek Mentors on Wednesday nights for both middle school and high school. Connect with our students this year in Waypoint Students!

Serving within our Connections team means being on the front lines as the first faces of Waypoint Church. Our Connections team needs Worship Center Hosts, Parking Team members, Hospitality Team members, Greeters, and CDL Shuttle Drivers. Help us welcome our guests with warmth and kindness in our Connections ministry!

Our Care Ministry provides a network of ministries and classes to find gospel-centered help, hope, and victory. We have a few one-on-one opportunities as Care Mentors, as well as opening for Care Class Facilitators for marriage, parenting, and finance classes. We’d love to help activate your giftings in the lives of people in need of gospel-centered care.

Our Life Groups meet in homes throughout the week and are aimed at helping followers of Jesus grow in their knowledge of Christ, providing Biblical care for one another, and living life together on mission. As our church grows, our Life Groups continuously need new Life Group Leaders. Help our adults build gospel-centered community in Life Groups!

Our Missions teams strive to share Christ from our neighborhoods and to the ends of the earth. We are looking for people to partner with our local teachers by fulfilling our Teacher Wishlists and serving at Teacher Luncheons throughout the school year. We also regularly send Missions volunteers on overseas trips and Carpenters for Christ volunteers on local and nationwide construction projects. We’d love for you to join our Missions efforts both locally and abroad!

One of our favorite environments for discipleship is our Sunday services. Our Worship Team is always looking for talented and passionate musicians to help lead our church in worship every week. We also have a ton of behind-the-scenes roles in lighting, sound, CG, camera work, and other audiovisual areas that are pivotal to our Sunday services every week. Leverage your musical or technical skills at our campuses with our Worship & AV team!

1. Assistance with large ministry events (Women's Conference, Trunk or Treat, WKND, Men's Conference) that would encompass set up, tear down, cleaning, etc.

2. Help with ongoing facility needs (landscaping, maintenance, painting, cleaning) as one's schedule allows.
